Alex Bitskoff was born in Estonia, where 18 years later he had his first personal exhibition of humorous illustrations.

After completion of BA in Russian language and literature he decided to be freelance illustrator and came to London.

Alex works digitally and in the old fashioned way on paper with pen and ink. He recently took third place in the Macmillan Prize competition with his children’s book project “You and Me”. His illustration “Amazing Tree” will be featured in the 2010 “Images 34 – Best of British contemporary illustration”. His artwork is influenced by early Suprematism and he loves cheese cakes.
