My name is Will Bailey.  After studying Visual Communication at Leeds College of Art & Design I set my heart on becoming a freelance illustrator, and after graduating moved to London to take up a place on this course.

Using inks, acrylics and digital, my work is bold, linear and energetic, with a quirky sense of humour and often full of weird and wonderful characters.

Some of my drawings and paintings incorporate political and social themes; others are more narrative-based, often exploring the absurdities of everyday life.  I also engage with design-led illustration, experimenting with typography, layout and iconography.

I have a keen interest in subcultural art and design, and am influenced by a wide range of artists and genres, including underground and alternative comics, skate, surf, tattoo, graffiti, poster, lowbrow, pop surrealism and kustom design.
